Anolon is an American company that makes all manner of cooking and kitchen utensils. They make pots and pans, cooking gadgets and of course the popular Anolon knife sets. You can buy individual knives or you can buy the set. Knife sets can come on there own or with a block.

There are basically three types of Anolon cutlery sets. The Advanced, Classic and Santoprene lines. In terms of the advanced and classic these are simply names that apply to the line. The Santoprene line refers to the material used on the handle of the knife. There are also Bronze and Stainless steel versions of all these lines, this also refers to the handle. For the Bronze sets the handles are a bronze color. The stainless steel sets have stainless steel handles. Some people prefer these variations but in most cases the black handle is the popular choice.

Anolon knife sets are made from German steel and forged for a cleaner, sharper cut. They have a full tang construction and a balanced to perfection, meaning you have more control whilst not losing the comfort.
